Fire Prevention Responsibilities 

The Fire Prevention Bureau contributes to the overall safety of the community. The Bureau is responsible for many different aspects of public safety including plan reviews, code enforcement, and inspections.

Public Education Responsibilities 

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department's Public Education program educates residents about fire safety, life safety, and injury prevention. Some of our programs include: station tours, blood pressure checks, fire extinguisher demonstrations, observed fire drills, safety talks and presentations, community events, and our Annual Open House. 

2019 Open House

Join us on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM to learn ways to protect your home and family against fire. The 2019 Open House will include fun, interactive, and educational activities for all ages such as station tours, rescue demonstrations, fire extinguisher practice, and child fire hose drills! Senior Fall Awareness and Fire Safety Program

Crystal Lake Fire Rescue offers a free Senior Safety class to interested groups. The free class provides information about ways to reduce the chances of fire injuries or falls. Caretakers are welcome! For more information, please contact the Fire Rescue Department
