The City of Crystal Lake Hotel Tax was established to improve the quality of life for its residents, corporate citizens and visitors. These funds are invested back into the community through designated events and activities that will enhance visitor appeal and encourage overnight stays.
The City welcomes funding requests from eligible organizations. Both federally recognized, tax-exempt, not-for-profit organizations and for profit organizations may apply. For profit organizations will be subject to additional restrictions, as outlined in the guidelines.
Hotel/Motel tax applications for the May, 2026, through December 31, 2027, time period are now being accepted. Please submit questions and applications to swrolson@crystallake.org. Applications are due by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
