    The Brush Drop-Off service is only provided to residents. Proof of residence, such as a driver’s license or vehicle sticker, is required.


The City of Crystal Lake operates a brush drop off facility on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, April through November, during the hours of 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  


The brush drop-off facility is located at 410 S. Main Street.

Brush Accepted and Available Mulch 

Brush accepted at the site must be under 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter. The material collected at the drop-off site will be ground into mulch and placed in a pile at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, located at the corner of Dartmoor Drive and Coventry Lane (1100 Coventry Lane). Mulch is available for residents, free of charge, on a first come, first serve basis. You must load mulch yourself.

No leaves or grass will be accepted at the drop off site.
