Communication from Prairieland Disposal regarding bulk items - Updated April 17, 2020 at 3;00 PM
Effective April 20, 2020, Prairieland will resume bulk item pickup services, with the stipulation that all large bulk items must be either bagged or wrapped in plastic. For example; mattresses, couches, chairs, carpeting, or extra household trash will need to be bagged or wrapped in plastic and put at the curb.  Bathroom fixtures, including toilets and sinks, will also need to be bagged or wrapped in plastic. Smaller bulk items that do not fit in the container, such as cardboard boxes, do not need to be wrapped in plastic. Please contact Prairieland Disposal at (847) 381-9300 if you have a bulk item and are unsure if it needs to be wrapped in plastic. The City appreciates the efforts made by our residents during this difficult time to ensure the safety of the community and to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  These requirements will be in place until the expiration of the Governor’s Stay at Home Order.
