The City of Crystal Lake offers customers several utility bill payment options:


  • Web Payment:
  • Auto-Pay

    • Utility bills to be automatically paid from your bank account or credit card each month.  
    • If it is prior to the due date, your payment will automatically by debited/charged from your method of payment.
    • After signing up for Auto-Pay, customers next monthly bill will reflect "Enrolled in Auto-Pay" on you next monthly bill.
    • After registering your utility account, you will also be able to track usage history, view billing and payment history and make payments.

Direct Debit:

  • Avoid late payments and penalties by having your payment withdrawn directly from your bank every month. 
  • Complete the Direct Debit Application Form (PDF) and attach a voided check or savings deposit slip with your completed form. 
  • Bring or mail the form to:

Drop Box:

  • One drop box is located at City Hall for payment of your water and sewer bills.
  • The first box is located in the center island next to the U.S. Post Office mailbox in the front parking lot.


  • Payments are always accepted “in-person” at City Hall.
  • Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.


  • A self-addressed envelope is included with your monthly bill for mailing of your payment for your water and sewer bill.
  • Please allow at least 5 business days for mailing.
