Crystal Lake Police Assist County Conservation Police
Crystal Lake, IL – From the onset, the Crystal Lake Police Department has actively been involved in assisting the McHenry County Conservation Police investigate the attack that occurred yesterday, September 24, 2019, on the Ridgefield Trace bike trail. Our detectives are providing any and all assistance requested to help bring this event to a successful conclusion. In addition to providing investigative assistance, the Crystal Lake Police Department has deployed additional officers to patrol the bike paths in the city, both on foot and on bicycle.
We encourage anyone who may have information relating to this event to contact the McHenry County Conservation Police at 815-338-6223, ext. 1210, Weekdays 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; weekends, holidays and after hours through the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department 815-338-2144. The Crystal Lake Police Department also has a means to report tips anonymously by texting the word CLPDTIP along with the tip information to 847411 (tip411). Normal text messaging rates do apply. Residents may also call 911 to report any information they believe relevant. Crystal Lake Police will respond and collect the information.
