Zoning Ordinance
In order to promote and protect the public health, safety, morals, comfort and general welfare of the people, the City of Crystal Lake adopted the current Zoning Ordinance in 1994. The ordinance establishes zoning districts, and sets forth the regulations governing land use and development.

Any person planning construction on their property, or changing the land use, should review the regulations set forth in the Zoning Ordinance and receive approval from the City before building permits or occupancy permits can be issued.
