The city code prohibits the open burning of any trash or other material. Campfires and bonfires are also prohibited unless a special permit is obtained from the fire rescue department. To aid residents, the City offers free brush pickup in the spring and leaf pickup in the fall. Brush and leaf drop off dates are scheduled throughout the summer. Property owners may obtain a copy of their report with proper photo identification. Report Requests made by individuals other than the property owner, should complete a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) form Fire Department Admin - City FOIA Request. You may also contact the Crystal Lake City Manager's office City Manager's Office. There is a small processing fee.
