Residents are encouraged to participate in an existing neighborhood watch program or organize a new group if one does not exist in your neighborhood. Citizens can receive training in recognition and reporting of suspicious activity. Crystal Lake Police will provide training and can respond to meetings to address resident concerns. Participating in a neighborhood watch group is a good way to meet your neighbors and discuss concerns in your community. Local chapters meet in regular intervals and can also be brought together to address specific issues.

If interested in finding a local chapter or starting a new one, contact Officer Eddie Pluviose at (815) 356-3731 or email.
