FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 23, 2018

Brush Drop-Off Site Moving to South Main Street

Crystal Lake, IL  – The City’s Brush Drop-Off Site, formerly located at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 at the corner of Coventry Lane and Dartmoor Drive, will be moving to 410 S. Main Street when the Site opens on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

On the first and third Saturday of every month, April through November, residents may drop off brush at 410 S. Main Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Signage will be posted at the site. Brush must be less than 6” in diameter and no more than six feet in length to be accepted. Bulk and bagged leaves are prohibited by IEPA regulations.

Proof of residency is required.  All brush will be ground into wood chips and made available at the Coventry Lane location to Crystal Lake residents free of charge for landscaping.

In addition, The City of Crystal Lake Public Works Department will conduct its annual brush pick-up beginning Tuesday, May 1, 2018.  Residents are reminded to have all brush set out on the parkway the last weekend in April to help ensure it is picked up. City crews will only make one pass down each City street during the program. All brush must be less than 6” in diameter and no more than six feet in length.

Residents with questions are asked to contact the Public Works Department at (815) 356-3614.
