Crystal Lake Police Seek the Public’s Assistance in Identifying Man Found in Pond
The Crystal Lake Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in order to identify the deceased male found yesterday, June 19, in a retention pond at 4417 Northwest Highway. A general description of the deceased follows:
- Age- 20’s or 30’s
- Height- Approximately 5’9”
- Weight- Approximately 180 pounds
- Hair- Short, black
- Clothing- Tan cargo style shorts, grey boat shoes, no shirt
- Tattoos- Several
- Race- Hispanic

The Crystal Lake Police Department, in partnership with the McHenry County Coroner’s Office, continues to actively investigate this event. As reported by the Coroner’s Office, an autopsy has been scheduled for today to determine the cause of death. We will release any additional information as it becomes available.
